  1. The problem, as I see it, is the number of "miners" -- be it big time, full time, part time, recreational or whatever -- is very small compared to the number of anti mining progressive liberals, many of whom are firmly entrenched in all levels of government or involved in progressive liberal organizations (can you say Sierra Club?) that have a lot of cash and a lot of clout. The fact that the California Supreme Court Ruled 7-0 against the dredgers says it all. * Be careful out there. The powers that be would probably love to have a Bundy type incident to drive home their point.
  2. Peter Politician and Jody Joe are getting their education elsewhere.
  3. It seems to me that federal law sure does preempt a lot of other things these days. Funny how that works.
  4. John B, it's nice to see you can still work the 2 finger keyboard.
  5. Let's hope they come to a fair and honorable opinion.
  6. Shep, you can probably adopt one of those donkeys at Oatman.
  7. WHY IS MARTIN YELLING? This is not like him.
  8. I used to have a Horton. Took a couple deer with it.
  9. Of course. There are endangered and extinct plants and animals out there that need protection. There are rules for people and people need to be observed so nobody breaks them. Then, when they find out they can't enforce the law, they close the roads and put up fences like they should be doing at the border.
  10. The Bureau of Land Management has announced the formation of new division of Security, Protection and Intelligence. The new division is being created months after Ammon Bundy led dozens of armed anti-federal-lands activists in seizing the unoccupied Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. It’s unclear to what extent the new BLM law enforcement post is connected to the Malheur incident or to the general rise in anti-federal-lands activity in the rural West. This new department will operate independently of the already existing BLM Department of Law Enforcement and Protection under Director Salvatore Lauro, it will also operate independent of the Department of the Interiors (BLM’s mother agency) according to James Gallagher Director of Intelligence for the Department of Interior. In fact it is quite unclear as to who will have oversight over this new department or who authorized it’s creation. In calls to BLM public affairs officers they were unaware of the creation of the new division. Contact with Oregon Representative Greg Walden’s office and Utah Senator Mike Lee’s office led to similar results. We are awaiting comment from individuals in those office Read more... http://www.americanlandscouncil.org/blm_forms_new_division
  11. Hi Mitchel. Many Canadians know French. I bought a laptop on ebay once and the seller neglected to say it was a Spanish model which could not be converted to English. Needless to say I sent it back.
  12. Aaah, the Golden Ages. I have a friend in Elk Grove who had his removed. Good luck Grubby. I have a small lump just below my adam's apple that's coming out on Wednesday.
  13. Maybe people are losing interest. The fact that Minelab slashed prices tells you something.
  14. Happy Birthday David. Hope you have a great day and a great year.
