Supreme Commander Dwight Eisenhower gives the order of the day “Full victory - Nothing else” to paratroopers of the 101st Airborne Division at the Royal Air Force base in Greenham Common, England, three hours before the men board their planes to participate in the first assault wave of the invasion of the continent of Europe, June 5, 1944. A Hero's Return home...

I found this posted on another forum, I shed tears throughout this entire video for this lost HERO and thinking about all the other HEROS before him, I was also born and raised in this very area of Georgia, and I remember well the TREATMENT of the returning HEROS of the Vietnam war, and that made this all the more moving to me!!!

"Subject: A Hero's Return Home....

This is worth passing on. Patriotism is alive and well in many areas of the U.S.. Pass it on.

A true Welcome Home to a HERO.

Killed in action the week before, the body of Staff Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009.

The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough , Georgia . A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time.

Nowadays one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor and no longer
honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that there are many places in this land where people still recognize the courage and impact of total self-sacrifice. Georgia remains one of those graceful places. The link below is a short travelogue of that day's remarkable
and painful journey. But only watch this if you wish to have some of your faith in people restored.

Please share widely. Click below for the video. Turn up your speakers !!!

I posted this in the political forum but it deserves to be here to. The USA need not apologize to any country despite the current trend in this administration. Read the following and see if you don't agree regardless of party affiliation:

At a time when our president and other politicians tend to apologize for
our country`s prior actions, here`s a refresher on how some of our former
patriots handled negative comments about our country.

These are good

JFK'S Secretary of State, Dean Rusk, was in France in the early 60's when
DeGaule decided to pull out of NATO. DeGaule said he wanted all US
military out of France as soon as possible.
Rusk responded "does that include those who are buried here?"
DeGuale did not respond.

You could have heard a pin drop

When in England , at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by
the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of
empire building by George Bush.
He answered by saying, 'Over the years, the United States has sent many of
its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond
our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is
enough to bury those that did not return.'

You could have heard a pin drop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was a conference in France where a number of international engineers
were taking part, including French and American. During a break, one of
the French engineers came back into the room saying 'Have you heard the
latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft carrier to
Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he intended to do, bomb
them?'
A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: 'Our carriers have three
hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear
powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities;
they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three
meals a day, they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh water from
sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in
transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck. We have
eleven such ships; how many does France have?'
You could have heard a pin drop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included
Admirals from the U.S. , English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies.
At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large group of
Officers that included personnel from most of those countries. Everyone
was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a French
admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages,
Americans learn only English. He then asked, 'Why is it that we always
have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?'
Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied, 'Maybe it's because the
Brit's, Canadians, Aussie's and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't have
to speak German.'

You could have heard a pin drop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AND THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE...
Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At
French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry
on.
"You have been to France before, monsieur?" the customs officer asked
sarcastically.
Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously.
"Then you should know enough to have your passport ready."
The American said, 'The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it."
"Impossible. Americans always have to show your passports on arrival in
France !"
The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly
explained, ''Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944 to
help liberate this country, I couldn't find a single Frenchmen to show a
passport to."
You could have heard a pin drop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I am proud to be of this land, AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL!

Sight of a low-flying Allied plane sends Nazi soldiers rushing for shelter on a beach in France, before

D-Day June 1944. Their fears were premature; the fliers were taking photos of German coastal

barriers in preparation for the invasion, which took place June 6. (AP Photo)

Aloha,

The video of total strangers showing their respect to a fallen american heros "last return home" was awe inspiring. Just goes to show that there are still a lot of good people out there who are thankful to our men and women who risk their lives everyday so we can sit at home in peace.

Aloha and God bless them all,

U.S. paratroopers fix their static lines before a jump before dawn over Normandy on D-Day June 6, 1944, in France. The decision to launch the airborne attack in darkness instead of waiting for first light was probably one of the few Allied missteps on June 6, and there was much to criticize both in the training and equipment given to paratroopers and glider-borne troops of the 82nd and 101st airborne divisions. Improvements were called for after the invasion; the hard-won knowledge would be used to advantage later. (AP Photo/Army Signal Corps)

Today the scene below would send the ACLU into fits...my thoughts are this...force all of the

ACLU into the military...send them to Afghanistan to man the many out post in no-mans land

and see how quick they get religion....
