DON, ROB has them or DOC, and for the 4000 battery I think its around $425.00 more for the 45000 batteries. Grubstake
Thanks grubby...my GP4000 is only about one year old and the battery is very good but while
I was in Okla. I bought one of Doc's "pocket rocket" systems and since it has two batteries
that come with it I was thinking of selling my Minelab battery to a guy here that has a
bad one for his GP4000....it just makes good sense what Doc says about his system having
two batteries and if you want one a separate sound enhancer where the Minelab is all together
so if one component goes out your up a creek...down here it would take me about a month to
get a new one shipped in .....thanks for the reply....
If it beeps--dig it!! Garimpo

Your welcome DON, the 4500 batteries are more because of the in-built amp,Not sure how much more. I've googled the 4000 batteries, and the cheapest, I can find other than Doc or Rob, is $427.99+ shipping. Grubstake

I am not sure about your detector, but my SD2100V2 is noisy with the Pocket Racket battery. I use the PR batery exclusively, but it does make things a little more unstable.
Also moisture...I have fried one power supply already. It was raining hard but I have my power suply covered pretty well. It got slightly damp down under the battery where the pin connectors are and ruined the regulator. Dont get it even slightly damp.
The batteries are just cheap replacements for the Sony "L" (I believe that is right) and the brand name Sony item gets a lot longer run time, shorter charge time, and the charging hardware is MUCH more quality. The Sony stuff also costs more. Check out chargers and batteries for the Sony camcorder.
I love the small power supply, but if I had to replace a battery or want to buy a charger, there are much higher quality items out there that I believe would be a value. Also, there are times when things are unstable that it helps to lower the voltage to the factory 6V rather than the 7.3V.
