weaver hillbille pointed me to a site called GovTrack Roll Call Votes Database located at http://www.govtrack....gress/votes.xpd. Passed and pending legislation is listed here with a good search engine.
Visitors can search for legislation and find out who sponsored and cosponsored passed, unpassed and pending legislation as well as those who voted for and against passed or failed legislation.
Visitors can also search for legislator's voting records as well as the bills they sponsored and who sits on the committees that railroad or stonewall legislation.
As you may have noticed, I listed the current elected legislators in the state sections here. If you don't know who represents you in your area I strongly urge you to find out.
I understand that Martin is working on a feature that will allow folks to enter their address and easily find out who their legislators are. That will also be a great tool.
We should all be concerned about this and those of us who have taken this initiative feel that we can make a difference. It is being made much easier with the tools that are available to us today.
Please folks, take a look at http://www.govtrack....gress/votes.xpd and poke around a bit. This web site lets you see through the smoke and mirrors that have hidden this information in the past.

You can find out who your legislators are at GovTrack and many other websites simply by entering your zip code or address.

There're many other websites just by doing a search came up with these.

Thanks Skip. The first link you provided was a good one. I entered my zip code and found out which elected officials purport to represent me. Low and behold, I came up with Barbara Boxer who sponsored this bill (Full Text at http://www.govtrack....?bill=s112-1574) S.1574 which is A bill to designate certain Federal lands in San Diego County, California, as wilderness, and for other purposes.

I won't go into details but I know for a fact that if this bill was to pass there would be no mining, prospecting or motor vehicles of any kind allowed on these lands. Therefore, I have added Barbara Boxer to the list of lawmakers against us.

Not this list. Who else should be on it?
It is nice to be able to provide a link and say "Here's Why".

Ok, fair enough.. How about I say she made "my list" long ago as a legislator to avoid voting for.

Voting record goes back to '92... SHe seems to like extending the debt limit and approving taxes/ subsidies related to growing gov't control- at least that's my opinion. She's all for the carbon credit shell game, as well- she voted for CAp And TAx here in CAli........

I like the votesmart link
