Was beeping up a little gully, and came across an old tunnel with a nice ore pile set to the side. It had a few neat rocks in it so I felt the need to dig through it a bit

Nice finds.... I like rocks-n-minerals almost as much as gold.
Don't think too much, you'll create a problem that wasn't even there in the first place.
