Have 8 or 9 turquiose rocks and was wondering if they have any value.Also have various opals with clay or caliche on them,plus a small collection of rocks and minerals.Who knows this stuff,as I'm totally lost....Dave

It's worth something, depends how much though. Reno Chris knows his turquoise, all I can offer is a link, have a link for everything you know :lol: Scroll down to the lower portion to click on untreated turquoise from AZ, Mexico & China. On opals it also really depends on play of color, stability (lack of crazing), etc.

Dave - hard to say without seeing it in person and doing a little testing.

All types - turquoise can be worth near zero to around $2000 per pound. Some has been impregated with plastic, etc. Gold is always worth a certain price per ounce (at least for the metal), but gems vary hugely depending on quality.
